Event Description

A D King Youth Empowerment Gala

  • Saturday, November 12, 2016
  • 6:30pm  11:00pm

We invite you for a day of enrichment as we come together for our A.D. King Foundation Youth Empowerment Fundraiser Awards Gala and Book Launch: Two Brothers Who Dared to Dream as told by Naomi Ruth Barber King. A special 85th Mrs. Naomi King birthday celebration, a tribute to the Oba of Ife, King Ojaja II and the continuous acknowledgement of the contributions of our civil rights matriarchs of Atlanta. The civil rights movement is not a single story and it is not over; the struggle continues; every generation must fight to sustain it until we can realize the beloved community where poverty, war/violence and racism are no longer the prevailing order of our community and our nation.
