Event Description

The Bimini Wellness/ Peace Retreat is being presented by AfricanDiasporaTourism.com and the AD King Foundation. The retreat will be held in Bimini, Bahamas the first weekend of November, 1st- 3rd, 2013. It  will honor and convene leaders from various organizations and associations from Atlanta, southern  US cities, other regions of  the United States and around the globe. Organizational heads from various charitable, civic and social organizations dedicated to the betterment of humanity will gather in Bimini for a weekend of rejuvenation, reflection and contemplation of world peace. They will also visit the memorial bust of Dr. King that was erected in Bimini last year. These leaders will be able to relax and network in an atmosphere of peace and serenity. The retreat is also our way of saying thanks to these leaders. We will give honor and special recognition to Ms. Naomi King sister-in-law of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., international humanitarian Joe Beasley of the Joe Beasley Foundation and Bimini native Ansil Saunders, a legendary islander who has hosted many leaders including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
