Event Description

The festivities, which are being held in Collier Park Field in Atlanta, will commence on July 13th from 1-4 p.m. and will reach out to 150 children aged 5-10 who live in the surrounding community. The back to school extravaganza will include back packs, school supplies give-aways, gifts, music, food, fun and games; all in a positive environment. ‘Welcome Back to School Day’ is expected to be a day full of uplifting fun.

“This is the teens way of promoting a neighborhood atmosphere of enthusiasm and high expectation toward beginning school for some and returning to school for others” says Stan Wardsworth, Executive Director of Ezra Project, explaining that “the participating youth will receive certificates of Enthusiasm toward Excellence, acknowledging their early commitment to academic excellence”.

The event will be held at Collier Field Park on July 13th starting at 1 p.m. and ending at 4 p.m. Children between the ages of 5 and 10 years old are invited to come out with their parents to enjoy an afternoon of fun.

Please support our children and give a little back to our chiidren. Over 60,000 young people drop out of school in Georgia this year alone. Let us support this program by donating school supplies to our community kids.
